Gaya College of Engineering is situated in Gaya in Bihar state of India. Established in 1981 it is a government engineering college. It is managed by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of Bihar. It is approved and recognised by AICTE and is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University in Patna. It was formerly named ‘Magadh Engineering College (MEC)’ from 1980 to 1994; now it is a public institute under the name of ‘Gaya College of Engineering (GCE)’.

GCE admission is done through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (B.C.E.C.E.) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board conducts the entrance examination in two stages. The first stage is the screening test and the second stage is the main exam. Candidates who qualify for the screening test have to appear for the main exam. Selected candidates have to go through the counselling.

Overall Gaya college of engineering (Gce gaya) located in Gaya district in Bihar state. The college is affiliated to Bihar Engineering University(BEU). There are about 38 engineering colleges in Bihar which is affiliated to BEU. This college comes as a 3rd best college among all 38 colleges. The basic infrastructure: Gce gaya is located in gaya in a 87acre measurement in area and has a vast campus. There are two academic building and two workshop building is built in the campus. There are 5 hostel building present. The campus is a very greenry. All the basic requirement for student are present inside the campus. It is about 25 km far from Gaya airport and about 20 km from Gaya Railway junction. Overall Overall GCE Gaya college of engineering is one of the best government engineering college of bihar. Placement offers are not soo good here.you can get 3 lpa job easily here.but if you are aiming to get core job here it is very different from here for mechanical engineering department.
